Our society's relentless thirst for energy and its increasing value has driven the greater use of technology to find oil and extract it from more improbable locations. Ocean-borne exploration ships are mapping the structure of the sea floor to identify possible locations of oil deposits - locations that previously were un-economic or impossible to drill and extract.
Cyclone's PCI products are used in oil exploration as adjunct processors to buffer and consolidate the massive flow of data retrieved from the multiple towed arrays prior to being recorded and analyzed.
